Kenji Kondo is a missionary in Japan with Operation Mobilization. He was in Grand Forks in October, so Pastor Doug had a chance to meet him and sit down for a conversation about the state of the church in Japan, the work that he and his family are involved in, and how we can pray for them and the country of Japan.
Operation Mobilization's vision is "to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached." For more information on OM check out https://www.om.org/en

Building a city and a nice community centre seems like a good thing... Not when it is borne out of rebellion.

Anger. Frustration. Accusation. Lashing out.
Our culture is rife with this stuff. Scan you social media feed and it doesn't take long to find some one that's angry about something... We live in an age of outrage, and it can destroy us.
It destroyed Able, and it also destroyed Cain. There is no winner in the game of rage.

RelationshipsBroken (Genesis 3)
Saturday Sep 25, 2021
Saturday Sep 25, 2021
We only get four chapters in the Bible where everything is awesome. The first two and the last two. Everything in between is about the mess humanity has made of all our relationships, and God's unwavering commitment to pursue us with redemption and reconciliation.
Genesis 3 is usually titled "The Fall", but in reality it's just the beginning of the fallenness of humanity. It starts here, but as the story continues we will see more and more brokenness and dysfunction from those created to bear the image and likeness of God. The reality we live with everyday is introduced here. And the reality of God's relentless gracious pursuit of His people is emphasized.

Gospel Podcasts
Our podcast started out simply as audio sermons from our Sunday services. Recently we've started two additional shows: Gospel Conversations and Gospel Reflections.
In Gospel Conversations, Pastor Doug talks with various missionaries that we support, and people in our congregation as they walk with Jesus.
In Gospel Reflections, Pastor Doug shares thoughts from his study of the Bible. Often this will include excerpts from commentators, church history, or something that speaks to where we are at today.
Our goal here is simple: Helping People Follow Jesus.
